Halogen lamps – like classic incandescent lamps – are temperature radiators. In contrast to the incandescent lamp, a halogen lamp has no typical bulb blackening. The reason for this is the halogen cycle process, through which the lamp bulb remains clear over the entire lamp life. That is why the halogen lamp always emits a constant luminous flux and has a longer lifespan than the classic incandescent lamp. This requires traces of halogens in the filling gas of the halogen lamp.
